Room 1

Room 1 is our senior classroom, where our year 8 students step up as leaders of the school and role model leadership skills to our Year 7’s and the rest of the children.

We strive to create an inclusive classroom, where we are all valued for what makes us unique. We aim for excellence, build resilience and expect a strong work ethic.

The highlight of Room 1 is the fortnightly technology day at Maramarua School; where our students are able to experience wood and metal work, food and soft materials technology.

We also love playing sports and enjoy lots of authentic learning throughout our curriculum. We can often be found cooking in the staffroom as a real life context for learning mathematics and science.
